We first met Maurice around 1988 when he hosted a sponsored match at Twerton Park, and we were fortunate to have been invited. we became friends with Maurice, Molly Catherine and Matt through our joint love of Bristol Rovers. We have many fond memories, he was a kind thoughtful and generous man, especially with the match day sweets. We moved to France in 2007, but whenever we came back to the UK he was always a welcome sight on the terraces and was always very pleased to see us as we were him.
